Can a grown man be circumcised?
At Victoria Circumcision Clinic, we regularly perform circumcisions for males of all ages, including adults. The procedure may be more expensive for older patients due to additional care and time involved. Discomfort after the procedure is generally more noticeable in older patients, but this is usually managed with appropriate pain relief.
We perform surgical circumcision for adult patients and focus on providing quality care that aims to minimise pain and discomfort. On the day, the circumcision will take approximately one hour, though you may spend up to three hours at the clinic with your consultation, preparation, and post-operative observation. The wound generally takes six to eight weeks to heal, and the stitches used will dissolve on their own.

How much does it cost to get circumcised?
Typically, Medicare will cover the expense of your initial consultation with Dr Hajoona prior to the procedure; thus, if you decide not to go through with circumcision for yourself or your baby boy, there should be no consequences in terms of cost.
However, Medicare will not cover the costs of your actual circumcision procedure. This means that there will be a gap (amount you have to pay out of pocket). Below is an indication of the price you can expect to pay for each of our procedures:
Circumcision Fee to be paid on day of procedure
- Newborn (0-3months) $600.
- Infant (3-12 months ) $700.
- Toddler (1-4years) $850.
- Child (4-9years) $900.
- Child (10years + and Adult) $1050
- Adult frenuloplasty with Shang Ring circumcision
$1300
There will be an extra $250 charge to the above prices if any stitching is required or requested.
Surgical Procedures:
- Adult Surgical Circumcision = $1700
- Adult Frenuloplasty = $1000
The following charges will be charged on the day, in addition to the circumcision cost for uninsured patients and those without Medicare.
- Consult fee $85
- Local Anaesthesia $200
Prices will be confirmed on the day of the procedure.
Payment is due on the day of the procedure.
